BetUK sign up offer

With minimum qualifying odds for the sign up offer of just 1.5, you're likely to get off to a flying at BetUK: Win your qualifying bet and you'll increased your bank roll by at least 50% and unlock three £10 free bets.

Each free bet needs to be used on a multiple with at least four legs, but the minimum odds for each of those legs is only 1.3. That means maxing out the value on the table with this offer is very achievable.

Our favourite thing about the Spreadex is offer is the fact that your £40 bonus is spread out into 8 different chunks each worth £5.

Sign up, make a qualifying bet and Spreadex will give you five free fixed odds sports bets.

You'll also get a free chance to try out sports spread betting at the undisputed market leader plus 50 free spins.

Bet365 sign up offer

Bet365 Open Account Offer

We think the Bet365 sign up offer is top-notch. A low minimum deposit (£5) and a high potential bonus (up to £50 in Free Bets) means Bet365’s offer really stands out from the crowd.

Don't worry if that particular shade of green makes you feel a bit queasy - there are plenty of good bet365 alternative sites for UK punters.

Betfred sign up offer

You can’t really argue with a whopping £40 in bonuses unlocked with a minimum first bet of just £10.

Betfred is one of the most recognisable brands on the UK betting scene. It's been around forever but we think one of the main reasons it has remained in the top tier of UK online bookies is its wide range of promotions and offers.

Boylesports sign up offer

'Bet get' offers are popular in the UK and for good reason - you can't really go wrong with BoyleSports' classic bet £10 get £20 offer, and they've only gone and sweetened the deal by chucking in a £10 casino bonus on top.

BoyleSports is fast becoming one of our favourite UK bookies for betting offers. Once you've claimed the sign up offer, look out for regular extra places offers on major events plus plenty more promotions and specials.

At ourbettingsites.com, we review all of the best betting sites. That’s our meat and drink. A big part of evaluating an online bookmaker is rating its betting offers.

In the UK, most of the top betting offers involve free bets, but some come in the form of a deposit bonus or money back offer instead.

Betting offers are generally pretty straightforward to claim, and don't require a betting bonus code unless stated.

It’s also worth mentioning that betting site offers extend well beyond initial sign up - there are plenty of top online bookmakers that have betting offers for existing customers too.

How we rank the best betting offers

💷 Total value

The total value is probably the most obvious feature of any online betting offer. It's the number that the bookies put up in the biggest font size possible on all their ads.

For bookies that offer free bet bonuses, the total value of the free bets can be many, many times more than the value of the initial deposit (up to x8 - or 800% - is not uncommon in the UK market). However, the maximum qualifying deposit for these sorts of bonuses is typically capped at £10 so there is an upper limit to the possible value in that sense.

For matched deposits, the total value of the bonus that you can claim is often significantly higher than with a free bet offer. That's because although bookies offering these deals will only match your deposit up to 100%, the maximum deposit amount is generally much higher.

Money back offers can also be worth checking out as even if the qualifying bet limit is relatively low (typically £20 in the UK market), you can often get 100% of your money back from a losing bet as cash rather than as a free bet.

↔️ Flexibility

By flexibility of the offer, we mean how free are you to use bonus funds or free bets in the way that you want?

One example might be the format in which a free bet bonus is credited to your account. A £20 free bet bonus from one bookmaker might be credited to you as x4 free bets worth £5 each, whereas a similar £20 bonus from another betting site might be credited as a single £20 free bet. In this case, we'd argue that having four £5 free bets gives you much greater flexibility than a single £20 free bet.

Some online bookmaker offers are also less flexible in the sense that you are limited to specific markets or sports when you are using bonus funds. For example, a bonus or free bet that you can only wager on a 3+ leg pre-match acca is much less flexible than a free bet of the same value that can be used across any single pre-match or in-play market.

The absolute best of all options would be a bonus that lets you place bets on any market - not just sports but also novelty and specials like Love Island betting or Royal family news.

🤝 Minimum deposit

Genuine no deposit bonuses for new customers are pretty rare in the UK market, which means you'll need to make a deposit to claim the majority of bonuses available.

This minimum deposit amount can be the critical factor in determining whether you think a particular betting offer is worth claiming. We'd say that the most common minimum deposit amount is £10, but it can be as low as £5 or as high as £20.

💳 Qualifying deposit methods

If you take a careful look at the T&Cs (which we always display under each offer on our site), you'll often find they say something like 'Skrill and NETELLER excluded'.

Online bookmakers have various different reasons for preferring that you use one payment method over another - for example that the fees associated with using e-wallets may be high or that the verification processes are trickier when users deposit using methods other than debit cards.

Whatever the reasons are, many sign up bonuses are exclusively available to punters who make an initial deposit using Visa or Mastercard debit cards.

That's probably fine for must punters, but obviously more options for qualifying deposit can only be a good thing for those who prefer to use another method.

🎰 Minimum qualifying bet odds

Many bookmaker sign up bonuses require you to place a bet, or series of bets totalling a certain amount in order to qualify for a bonus. Such offers are often presented in a 'bet get' format (e.g. 'Bet £10 Get £30).

In order for your bet or bets to count toward the total for unlocking the bonus, they often have to be placed on markets with a specific minimum odds. This is the bookies' way of stopping you backing a 1/100 shot and claiming a bonus while also almost certainly retaining your initial deposit.

Minimum qualifying odds can be as low as 1/5 (1.2) or as high as evens (2.0), so it's well worth checking out the exact terms.

✋ Wagering limit

You might have seen some pretty crazy betting offers on TV adverts or elsewhere on the web that offer things like 'Get Man City to beat Norwich at 50/1!'.

That looks pretty incredible, right?

Well, surprise surprise, it's not as good as it seems because these offers usually come with a very small wagering limit attached (think £1), and winnings are often credited in free bets rather than cash.

We don't have many, if any, sign up offers on our site with such extreme terms but you'll find that most free bet offers will have a wagering limit of a tenner or £20. The deposit limit for matched deposit bonuses is often much higher.

📋 Turnover requirement

The turnover requirement for a betting bonus means how many times you need to wager the bonus amount before you can withdraw any winnings.

We clearly display all turnover requirements in our betting offers rankings lists so there's nothing that'll catch you out.

As you can see if you take a look at the offers above, almost no free bet offers require users to turn over a specific amount before they can withdraw. That means if you place a winning bet using free bet funds, you can withdraw those winnings immediately.

The most common place you'll find turnover requirements for sports betting offers is with matched deposit bonuses. With this type of offer, it's not uncommon to see turnover requirements of x5 of more of the initial deposit.

⏳ Bonus expiry time

Another important consideration when selecting the best betting offer is how long you have to use that offer before it expires.

With free bet offers, a short bonus expiry time (ranging from 48 hours to 7 days) is common and probably not much of an issue as punters are generally quite quick to place a couple of free bets.

For matched deposit offers, where the value of the offer plus the turnover amount mean it could take a few more bets to complete the requirements, the best bonuses will have much longer expiry times (for example, up to 60 days)

Betting offers FAQs

Which bonus sites have the best betting welcome offer?

Do UK betting offers require a bonus code?

Not always. In fact, most of the time, just clicking on a direct link to the offer will lead you to the registration page and you may just have to tick a box that indicates that you want to claim (‘opt in’ to) the offer.

Click here to view the best betting offers in the UK (no bonus code required).

Do all the best betting site offers require a deposit?

Sign up offers at UK betting sites almost always require a deposit.

Some offers can be claimed with deposits as low as £5, including:

    • bet365 - Bet £10 get £50 in free bets
    • Parimatch - Bet £5 get £30 in bonuses

Can I claim online betting offers if I already signed up?

Most betting sign up offers are time-limited (i.e. you have to meet the requirements within a certain number of days or your bonus will expire). If you signed up less than a week ago, you should still be OK to claim the bonus once requirements have been met.

If you signed up five years ago, you’re gonna have a hard time convincing that bookie to give you a sign-up bonus.

However, all is not lost: There are existing customer promotions on most betting sites, so even if you can't claim the main sign up offer, you’ve still got plenty of bonus options.

What are the best bookie offer types?

There is no exact science behind which betting site offers are the best: It differs depending on what you are looking for.

Some of us prefer smaller bonuses with easier wagering requirements as with those it is more likely you can turn the bonus funds into withdrawable cash. Others prefer the more valuable bonuses and fancy themselves to meet the terms.

But all of these factors are important:

    • Bonus amount
    • Minimum deposit
    • Wagering requirements
    • Minimum odds
    • Eligible markets
    • Expiry date
    • Quality of siteWhat are the best bookie offer types?

What are betting offer wagering requirements?

Wagering requirements are sometimes implemented by bookies on their betting offers. Sometimes referred to as ‘turnover amount’, the wagering requirement stipulates how many times you have to ‘play through’ (stake/bet) the bonus amount before it becomes possible to withdraw the money as cash.

Wagering requirements vary from bookie to bookie and offer to offer. It is important to understand the requirements before accepting an offer - we make that easy for you at My Betting Sites.
